App of the Week: Make an Animal

Make an Animal is similar to Build Your Wild Self except it is on the iPad.   My two - year - old absolutely loves making animals and can identify all of the animal parts when he is mixing and matching!

When the children finish, they can save it to the iPad Photo Album or email it to you or their families. 

This app would be perfect for App Smashing! I can envision students making different animals, saving them to the Photo Album, and then inserting them into an app like Pic Collage to show a variety of animals that live in the same habitat or ecosystem.  

I can also see them putting their animal into the app ChatterPix Kids or I Like Stories and having the animal explain how it survives in that habitat or ecosystem.
